How Global Dentistry Exchange collects, uses and keeps personal data, under the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010.

Last updated 18 September 2026

Global Dentistry Exchange (GDE) is operated by Dental Remedy Sdn Bhd (SSM No. 1453444-D), registered office 87, Jalan Maarof, Bangsar, 59000 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur. Dental Remedy Sdn Bhd is the data user under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

Where we collect data

  • This website — page analytics only. No account, no login.
  • The course pages and forms on courses.globaldentistryexchange.com — the syllabus request form and the booking flow.
  • WhatsApp Business — messages you send to our business number.
  • The 30-Day Post-Course Clinical Support Group — for participants of a course.
  • The payment gateway — card and bank details are handled by the gateway, never by us.

What we collect

Name, email address, WhatsApp number, which seat type you are interested in, and optionally your state. For a booking: billing details and the transaction record. We do not collect identity-card numbers, and we do not collect card numbers.

Why we use it

  • To send you the syllabus you asked for, and course updates related to it.
  • To process a booking, issue a receipt and send joining instructions.
  • To run the post-course support group for participants.
  • To measure advertising, through the Meta Pixel and its Conversions API.

Advertising and tracking

We use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API on both globaldentistryexchange.com and courses.globaldentistryexchange.com. These record page views, syllabus requests, checkout starts and completed bookings, and share them with Meta Platforms so we can measure and target advertising. We do not run a cookie consent banner; this notice is the disclosure. You can limit this in your Meta account’s ad settings and in your browser.

Who else sees your data

Our funnel and email platform, our payment gateway, Meta Platforms for advertising measurement, and our hosting provider. Each acts on our instructions as a data processor. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

  • Marketing list — 24 months after the workshop, then deleted.
  • Transaction records — 7 years, as Malaysian tax and company law requires. This is separate from the marketing list.
  • Support group content — removed when the 30-day group closes.

Clinical images posted by participants

If you post images of your own patients in the support group, you remain the data controller for that patient’s data. You must have your patient’s consent, and you must de-identify the images before posting. Do not post names, identity numbers, dates of birth or any other identifier.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you may request access to your personal data, ask us to correct it, withdraw consent, or limit how we process it. Email [email protected]. We reply within 21 days.

Changes

If this notice changes we update the date above. Material changes are emailed to anyone on the list at the time.
